Whats Been New with Integral?

Those of you returning with us are probably curious to know what changes have occurred. Those of you gone for a very long time may want to take this chance to read up on the Newsletter to flip through the months gone by to see all the changes over the years. Although at first not much has changed, you'll find quite the opposite. Obviously the Newsletter as mentioned above is back in action and taking charge of capturing each months highlights and bonus material written by our esteemed writers. New on the project is our very own radio station broadcasted from our very own Nuke Usagimaru. This is a chance for you to listen to everything dothack on your local media players. Other changes recently has been new features and content added to our adfere wiki site for everything related to dothack.

But those of you were here for our traditional resource, the MMO and the role-play of Integral, would have noticed we at one time had the split of The World R1 and The World R2 but combined those universes along with the universe of The World RX into one massive universe we call The World NExT, new era of twilight. What this means is our role-play takes place in a very alternate universe where aspects and features of all realms used in one. But also we've taken away the least used offline topics and expanded them into its own universe as well known as the city of Hagarashi where the game is hosted and we all live in.

Becoming Dothack?

The golden rule of Integral throughout the ages always has been that players may not create a username that is anyway related directly or indirect to a dothack character of the dothack series. Ever since 2008 we've opt to offer a user once a month to enter a chance to win a dothack username with the administration approval. What this entitles you to is having your current username changed to the name you've won, being able to role-play as that character with compromiseable limitations, being able to use sprites if any to look the part. But being a role-play that takes place in the same setting and systems as The World from the dothack series, this still remains an alternative universe, a parallel world where the dothack characters exist and their offline lives along with personalities remain the same. The difference of course being the lack of supernatural powers like datadrain, avatars, virus's and infections, connections to Aura, or memories that took place throughout the dothack series. Therein, a world where if Kite and Orca never ran into Aura and Skeith and life resumed as usual, a world where there is no Morganna Mode Gone threatening the world, a world where Aura isn't being threatened. By winning these event your entitled to play as you wish, be it as yourself still just with a new name or as the character in which the name implies. But by no circumstances will the Sprite Division create a custom sprite for just because you have a name unless the Sprite Division chooses to do so on their own accord. So what name is currently available? You should check out the Quest Shop event for more information on a monthly basis. But at this time Gabi the Kestral @HOME leader is the flavor of January 2009.

Commissioner Achievement

As an added bonus, commissioning a fellow Integrian is a step towards supporting our community, your community that you represent and are apart of daily. When you come here to the EC, you may figure what's a good way to get that image you've had in your head for sometime none other than by commissioning someone to make it into reality. Your greatest tool in this event if choosing an art style provided by your fellow Integrians and asking them and being descriptive to them on what it is that you are looking for. Yet at the same time whether you are aware or not, you are helping them by getting the skills to accelerate and becoming better, providing a larger portfolio to their collection, encouraging other fellow Integrians to auction off their works, displaying towards eager artists that art isn't that difficult and takes practice, witnessing artists improve as they continue to practice, and helping out an artist acquire new tools and medium to use and practice on.

So I encourage you all out there to take a chance and see what our artists have to offer and consider the possibilities. But at the same time, why shouldn't you get the opportunity to show that you do support our fellow Integrians by earning an achievement all the while. Anyone who has and is thinking about commissioning one of our artists will earn the Commissioner achievement.

Summer Updates

Usually I pick a date then set myself out to do whatever it is I had planned, but things gone in the way these past few weeks i had to hold them out for a bit and dreading the actual work. Anyways in three days I managed to backup everything from the server files and databases then proceeded to work up upgrading the boards finally. The good news is the BBS, our blogs, the gallery, and the download sections, and everything else of the site is now updated. With that out of the way, I myself can put all my focus into helping with the RPG. Which means Integral will be having a triumphing return as with the big plans I have in stored for later. So until then enjoy the casual chatter that is business as usual.

Been awhile since I last wrote an entry here. Hello, I am Edan one of the administrators of .hack//Integral, a webbased game and community that's been ongoing for many years now. Formerly I opened this blog as a means to keep you all the users and viewers up-to-date on the ongoings of the community and the progress of the new game. However with the addition of our newsletter founded by the great Rego, that purpose here is no longer necessary. Therefore my man, this blog will be now the newly crisitend plateu in which I will bring you the latest in the insides of my bickerings towards the .hack//Integral community. What this means is I who have been a developer for many a time now of the community will share to you my version of my desk and office sort to speak. Looking for Affiliates

We here at Integral are still trying to find new and innovated ways to grow and help others grow. One of the things we like to see expanded is the introduction of our first Affiliation. An affiliation is the social and business agreement between two independent entitles or otherwise administrators of two sites which defines how the will relate to each other. In this case a sense of acknowledge and partnership of joining sites making things connected. How this differs between the webring is that a webring is just a collection of sites of one definition band together to be seen and easily referenced, but as mentioned above an affiliation is the collaboration of web owners towards a partnership. To meet this affiliation there will of course be various requirements.

You who are submitting a site must be the site's owner
Your site must have at least 1,000 registered users
Your site must have at least 4,000 articles
Your site must be at least over 2 years old
Your site must have at least 50,000 monthly page views
Your site must have at least 800 monthly uniques

Granted being related to dothack or not is not necessarily a requirement, but we definitely encourage it and prefer it. So if you meet these requirements, then please apply for an affilation here. And you will be given a response by me personally following up after your application.

In the news of the dothack continuum, the remake series of GU .hack//TRILOGY and the next sequel to the story arc .hack//LINK are both now available and debuting in Japan. Be sure to check our wiki .hack//Wiki for more information and be sure to check out our forums to share and discuss the series with other dothack fans. In other news .hack//GU+, the manga version of the PS2 game, .hack//GU is now available at your local bookstores such as Waldenbooks, Borders, and Barnes and Noble for only $9.99, be sure to jump on it today!

This month in updates, Integral's gallery of all dothack images 1,795 that is 155 megabytes of images all dothack of every single series new and old! We encourage you to be apart of the world's (pun not intended) largest online gallery of dothack images. Happy 3 Years!

Yes, Integral has been around well over 3 years now. The name may been only 3 years old today, but the project has been alive for 8 years now and expecting many more. During the past few hours several changes and updates have been made. Upon expecting, a new heading of course to commemorate one of our olden ones from last year. But also the Gallery system's software has been updated and on top of that, we've added well over 300 new dothack images and many more to come with each passing minute.

Of next we will once again broaden our horizons going beyond just a small community, and during that, we'll of course be testing out our brand new RPG System and eventually go full live with it once again. Updates as of 1.11.08

There has been some major and minor updates as of late. With the help of you Integrians, we were able to generate and then some, enough funds to improve Integral and make numerous expecting updates sooner. All the forum software is finally up-to-date, of noticeably the enhanced versions of the Gallery and the Downloads section as well as some fixes that were much needed. Though this update has set us back to reupload every single submissions ourselves, majority of the data is now restored. Also in the making is a new and anticipated RPG system that will allow players to manage and maintain their characters growth and available equipment as well as a grunties. No said word on the release of this RPG System but we hope to get it finalize very soon. Our avatar system has turned for a turn for the better with rare and unique avatars. You find that some of our donators were graciously given a rare sprite as a special thanks. Other improvements will be announced as they are ready. Also new registered and existing members are asked to go to their profiles and to select a characters class in your profiles which will be used in the role-play, the RPG, as well as a means to build upon your character model. Thank you for all your support, and don't forget to enjoy yourselves, espically with the new Google Member Maps option to see where all you Integrains are shouting out from!

Integral 2K8

Yes we're finally entering in on the new year. Many changes already began at the end of 2007 and many more will be going on in 2008. The former Character Model system which Integral was known for back early last year is now BACK! That's right, now once again you can customize and create your own The World character with style. A new final theme has been crafted and created for your viewing pleasure and ease of navigation, including a simple to find link to our emerging .hack//Webcomic! We've also been looking into solving issues that have been occurring with our DNS an your ISPs that have been preventing some of you from accessing the site, you should now that this issue as far as known is resolved. If you encounter any issues, please head on over to the chatroom found over on the right column. Also, in 2008 we'll be heading in the direction of re-establishing a new RPG System online for you to enjoy and play! However, one of the reasons we were unable to bring this to you before was due to financial issues which we're still dealing with. But if you like to support .hack//Integral in achieving this goal earlier than hoped, please support by making a donation to Integral and we'll be sure to begin working on bringing you a better online game earlier this year.

Hello Everyone!

Effie here, just letting you know that starting tomorrow (the 21st) until the 29th we will be on vacation in Sunny California! Well it’s sunnier then where we are at right now. . .

Important Updates 12.17.07

First and foremost, I apologize for the unexpected server inaccessibility and troubles.

What had occurred was that I decided to remove Integral off my other domain making it singular, during the restore many errors had occurred because the HDD path was still being referenced in many areas of every part of Integral. This caused me to rebuild the forums from scratch, in a way. Though this was going to be inevitable as the forum software was out of date and I've been wanting to upgrade to the latest version for security issues but didn't was always busy or lazy to do it.

Majority of the data is still intact, the forums, accounts, posts, images, galleries, blogs, downloads, wiki, webring, website, etc... However many other features, mainly the ones attached to the forums, were not included in the rebuild. This has to do with the forum was rebuilt and they'll have to be re-added. However that they will take time, some may be discussed between higher staff members in regards should they be re-added or not. So don't expect too many of the old features to return but as you may know us, we tend to like to go overboard a few times.

This reset does not change anything. Everything planned and expected will continue and the day-to-day here will go as norm. With the holidays coming around, progress will be slow and more than likely jump at the beginning of the year. Expect many positive changes at the beginning of the year.

In the mean time, sit back and relax and enjoy the show! Do note there are some errors still roaming the board, site, wiki, webring. Aside the numerous gallery issues and the wiki not connecting to the forums user account database, please let us know over in the Support Forums. But please, do not make posts "what happened to" or "where is" and "(blank) is missing!" types of queries. We know, and as mentioned we'll be getting to the priorities first.

Winter Updates!

After the slight inconvenience and maintenance of moving off Integral from the addon domain of Insyder Online, the entire site is now finally isolated onto it's own system on my dedicated server. However my theory has not addressed the domain issues, though with DNS, it could take anywhere from 24 hours to 72 hours to resolve world wide, which could mean there is still hope for some of us and myself who have been unable to access the site frequently.

Moving onto greater news, Integral has now started a Flickr group as seen here. If you have dothack images of any sort on your own Flickr account or have a Flickr account specifically of dothack images, feel free to join our group in order to bring other fans the convenience and usefulness of a dothack public gallery.

Our local Integral webcomic team plans to print out their first of many official Integral Webcomic series which is still undubbed.

So until then, be sure to check out the return of the message board, if you are expericing any issues, be sure to address a staff member over on our chatroom or email to myself.

Integral Downtime?

There has been many who have stated being unable to access Integral after the switch from shared host to dedicated server, one of which Integral has been an addon domain. And during the switchover, the DNS has caused some unexplained issues where worldwide regions are unable to access the site periodically, temporarily, and even permanently. During this what we hope to be a 24 to 72 hour delay, we are in the process of working out our dedicated server to move Integral from an addon server to the parent organization Insyder Online to it's very own system on the dedicated server. This process which requires removing the addon domain, creating a new system, transferring the core files of Integral to the newly created system, transferring the recent database of Integral, re-syncing the files and database to the new system, and finally awaiting the DNS to resolve itself worldwide which could take up to 24 to 72 hours.

We hope to better provide you all with a better and accessible service than before and this is just one of many small steps towards that goal. Be sure to check us out on our chatroom for up to the minute news at!

Site Updates 11.06

Been a long while since this has been updated, so I give you the latest in .hack//Integral!

The battle and exp of the rpg system is still unfortunately unavailable, we apologize for this inconvenience but hopes that you all brush up on everything else in the meanwhile. In terms of the rpg goes, the Game Masters and System Administrator are working quite closely together and have been producing a mountain of new items and equipment for players to use. Though at the present time there is lots of inconveniences going about, one being which old former .hack//Integral 2006 and pre 2007 players do not have their old character data back. This will be done when time becomes available so we ask that everyone please remain patient and go ahead and start off by making their rpg character and await till they are properly adjusted, again if time permits itself as this is a tedious and timely task of looking up and replacing data from two completely different systems of vast amounts of data to sift through.

The downloads page atop has never been active than before, now you can watch and listen to your favorite dothack goodies! You'll find that a few familiar .hack//GU trailers have become available as well as a few old and classic songs. Want to customize your desktop, you'll find large packs of .hack// themed icons and wallpapers. And for you gamers out there, we are beginning to publish and request various dothack written Walkthroughs for players to find and use in beating or assisting in playing the dothack games.

Our gallery is growing quite rapidly, starting from scratch since the move early this year we're well over 1,000 images all specific to dothack. Special care thanks to Nameless and various other Integral users. Thank you for all your support!

We still offer various quests and events that offer tons of goods including the much needed GP. Be sure you apply yourself and work towards earning better things out there on the site for you to use!

Integral's staff has had it's fair share of losses but also various new beginnings, from old seasoned players to new people who are determined in proving themselves amongst our various site teams. Our wiki site has never looked better than before with various resources for the well known dothack fan to the avid RP'er looking for background information to practice. Thank you wiki team! But also look forward to the unannounced upcoming additions from our News & Translation Team of the newest dothack series, our Newsletter Team with their reviews of Integral's success, our Webcomic Team's published comics to insight you to parody's of dothack as well as the beginning of a new series, and finally the return of our Sprite Team with what many hope the return of the fabled Avatar System that Integral was widely known for!

Site Updates 6.24

Several changes have been made in the past few weeks. First of all everything was updated to the latest version including the site CMS and the 3 standard modules Blog, Gallery, and Downloads. Since then we've adapted several other usefulness, of including the ever popular Arcade system which enables players to compete against other players for points for classic games. Other things include the return of the forum icons which now dim for no new posts and highlight for new posted threads, as well as the return of the award/badge icons for users which display earned award/badges of users in his/her own profile and topics. A new feature lately integrated was the signature control which enforces the overall site rules on sig limits and permitted posted areas. Users have been neglecting the site rules including the signature size rules, the new system will check prior to saving now. And users have been neglecting to disable signatures in the main RP foras for ease reading though the various lengths of replies, for now on all threads in the RP fora's are not visible no matter what settings you have set on your profile; which will prevent users from being warned for not disabling their signatures in the main rp at the same time. =D

Aside that, nothing else really new. No word yet on a suitable and compatible RPG and Avatar system for this new forums. We've been primarily focusing on what we have rather than want, which is a good thing and always should focus with what we have. As of late, we managed to integrate the old website and forum together. If you head on over to the website you'll notice that the main page states the newest discussion in web news, eventually this will be replaced at a later date to a site specific discussion for the users to request pages for the website and provide feedback as well as a means for the web site (not to be confused with the forum staff) to organize and build the site even further.

Tons of public gallery submissions have been made recently by fans for fans, the addition of a flash gallery was added last night including a sample flash video, various classic arcade games were and are still in the process of being added to the Arcade System, and 1 arcade tournament has been established in Space Invaders.

More tournaments such as this will be established later, in which the winners can win more than just fame, such as points and rewards. But again all that and more to be announced later.

After looking over the finical statements this week of all the investments, payments, back-payments at the cost of this server and site we've realized we're nearly close to the end of the site budget and hope that users will once again be able to support the site's finical aid department in keeping this site online and available aside from us digging into our own pockets as in the past. Even $1 would be beneficiary to us all, we seriously don't expect users to dish out $100 (not that we minded =D) for their donations, but if every 4000 user donated $1 to the site, that would cover up to 3 full years for all necessary payments and license renewals this site and server require, just to show as an analogy.

At this point, not much is planned on being worked on or added but always look forward here and in the chatroom for the latest and newest information! We are always growing and working our hardest in new and unexpected ways to ensure equality, security, enjoyment, participation, and satisfaction.

The new screenshots of .hack//GU Vol. 3 Redemption are now available in the gallery. They are all copyrighted from IGN, so these pictures are not 'illegal'. However, if you do decide to add pictures from another website or company, be sure to obtain its copyright information and add it in the space provided.

Site Updates 06-10-2007

Well as of late some site changes were made. Here were the following worth mentioning.

New forum posting section titled 'Network' was added for computer related discussion.
Restoration of old dothack gallery sections as well as general anime and game sections.
The site logo has been finalized, trying to keep it sterile for school computers permissions.
Individual forum rules have been re-added on a forum to forum basis, still in progress.
Several new avatars added to various avatar galleries that were requested in the thread.
The Premium Users has split into two packaging plans, Gold (annually) and Silver (monthly).
Various additional site related permissions and features are now available to the package plans.

And that's all as of late. Expect more avatars, more gallery images, and soon the reconstruction of the RPG System to become usable and useful.

As you may have guessed, this will be our little update guide for anyone interested in the updates going on at Integral. Whether its rule additions and revisions from the Amethyst Knights or event updates and reminders from the Game Masters, it all gets logged here. Even the updates I make in secret will now be exposed publicly here. So for more updates be sure to check up on this Blog.
